ISSN: 2190-5517 (electronic version)
Editors-in-Chief: F. Stoddart; M.M. Hussain
Applied Nanoscience is a quarterly Open Access journal that publishes original articles about state of the art nanoscience and the application of emerging nanotechnologies to areas fundamental to building technologically advanced and sustainable civilization, including areas as diverse as water science, advanced materials, energy, electronics, environmental science and medicine.

Applied Nanoscience is supported by King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia) and accepts original and review articles as well as book reviews for publication. All the manuscripts are peer-reviewed for scientific quality and acceptance. Every year KACST awards the best paper with the KACST Medal and $ 5000.

Applied Nanoscience is under evaluation for coverage in Thomson Reuters Citation Products.

Microchimica Acta (MCA) publishes articles on all aspects of modern (bio) analytical methods based on the use of (new) micro/nano-materials. Coverage includes all kinds of micro- and nano-shaped particles, quantum dots, micro/nano-wires, molecular frameworks, meso- and nanoporous materials, thin films, hybrid materials, and related matter. Coverage also includes methods for modification and (bio) fictionalization of respective surfaces, core-shell technologies, the preparation of nanocomposites, and respective characterizations by instrumental means (based on electrochemical, optical, electron microscopic, and other methods). It is essential, though, that (bio) analytical uses in electrochemical, optical or other kinds of detection, or for purposes of extraction or preconcentration are demonstrated.
